What is Authentication?
Authentication registers your site licence to an installed copy of Cashdata.
Why do I need to Authenticate?
Your Cashdata software immediately after it is installed is unlicensed and remains so until authenticated. Once authenticated you are then able to use all the features including making data entry in all monthly periods.
How do I Authenticate?
All you do is tell us about two sets of numbers appearing on your computer and we provide you with a third number to key back into your computer – it's that simple.
These numbers (called the License code and Registration number) can be found by selecting the menus “File | Cashdata Setup” and then the “Access Codes” category.
Authentication is only available after you have:
installed your software
purchased a licence
received your tax invoice
To receive an authentication number you must supply to Practitioner Technologies:
your tax invoice number or support club membership number
the licence code and registration number of your software (obtainable only after installation)

E-mail authentication permits authentication requests to be made at any time and is suitable for persons who use their software out of normal business hours. Upon receipt a support officer will process your request supply your authentication number and return your e-mail.
